Fried Chicken 101 - For Beginners
FRIED CHICKEN 101 - FOR BEGINNERS
INGREDIENTS
- Chicken parts
- 2 1/2 tspn salt
- Pepper to taste
- 8 cups of water
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- Optional - Seasoning of choice
- Cooking oil
DIRECTIONS
1. Add salt to water and bring to a boil.
2. Add chicken and reduce heat to a simmer.
3. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
4. Remove chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
5. Whisk eggs.
6. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Optional - season with you favorite seasoning.
7. Heat oil to 375°f or medium to medium high.
8. Coat chicken in flour then roll in eggs and back into flour.
9. Place chicken in oil and fry til golden brown remembering to turn chicken.
10. Drain chicken on paper towels and serve.
